I.G. Oliver, based in Derbyshire, is a chef-turned-storyteller, illustrator, and educator whose epic magical fantasy series It’s a Kind of Maragic invites readers into a world of wonder, wisdom, and whimsy.

With an HRH-recognised, award-winning career in hospitality, and a separate passion for mythic storytelling, Oliver blends rich imagery, emotional depth, and cinematic pacing to craft tales that linger long after the last page. The first edition of this book was voted 1st place and honoured with the People’s Book Award in 2018.
