Thank you to IG Oliver and Love Book Tours for the free copy in exchange for an honest review.
The Butterfly Bee Lady and The Bee is a unique, beautifully written and illustrated children’s story. Throughout the story there are lessons that children can take from such as family is what you make it. The Butterfly Bee Lady trusts a Bramley to take care of her children and those eggs see Bramley as part of their family even though he isn’t the same as them. This story shows friends stepping up for one another and determination. This is worth reading with the children in your life.

The character driven narrative in this book is complimented by some delightful illustrations of nature and the creatures that live there.
My children liked the use of Bee language that really helped bring the character of Bramley the Bee to life and made him so wonderfully endearing.
This is a story that is buzzing with friendship, love and adventure that as a family we all enjoyed reading so much.
Throughout this emotional read they are some great examples for children of determination, resilience, strength and working together.

This is a wonderfully written book that is perfect for all ages. For young readers, the book can be used to teach many concepts such as friendship, love, and empathy. For older students, concepts such as foreshadowing, character analysis, and different points of view can be taught. I read books aloud to children on a daily basis, and out of all the books I have read, this one is by far the best. The setting is magical, the characters are interesting, and the plot is engaging. I did not want to put the book down. I definitely recommend this book.

This is a terrific kid’s story that will also delight and entertain any mummy or daddy reading it to their little bees. The setting is magical, the characters are well-crafted - you'll get attached to them for sure - and the book strikes a great balance of emotions for kids: not too scary, but just enough to give the plot some pep; moving without being sappy. All round a really pleasant read. Highly recommended.

IG Oliver has to be congratulated on his brilliantly written book. I have worked with many primary school pupils who have struggled to read or engage with literacy. This story leaves the reader wanting to know what is going to happen next, encouraging discussion, and predicting outcomes throughout. Bramley is my new hero

It’s a children’s book. It’s a short read that can be read in few hours. So, I will briefly summarise the story. The story has been set up in a garden in countryside. There lived a beautiful butterfly named Beelady. One day she met a bee named Bramley. She added “Z” in every word’s in her Bee language. There are twin sisters Sindeena and Belliza. They are daughters of the Butterfly Bee Lady, who was once a Queen of dragonflies. And one day Belliza found a beautiful stone. Read the book to unfold further plot. I loved the magical world created by author’s imagination. It’s so beautiful. I absolutely loved the story. I loved the inclusion of cute little pictures. I picked up the book and couldn’t put it down until the end as the story is too interesting. The story is written in such a way that is easily understandable to all the children as well as it will enhance their language. After a long this story reminded me of my all childhood reading and memories. I loved the fictional and magical touch given to the story. I want to explore more stories by this author. It’s a good one. Recommended from my side.

The Butterfly Bee Lady and the Butterfly is the Short yet inspiring book for kids as well as for adults hence anybody of any age can read and enjoy this book as it contains a really heartfelt story of a Beelady, who is initially a butterfly but she lives as a Bee because of the colours of her wings which were designed as a Bee.
The book started with the intro about the Bee Lady and then the story proceeds with her friendship with a Bee. A few days ago, she lays eggs in a beautiful tree but she has to left her eggs and take off to another place for some reason, so she told the Bee to take care of her eggs in her absence. The story then proceeded with one of the Daughter of Butterfly Bee Lady who was prior to a Queen of Dragonflies. Apart from this, there were more characters added by the author in this story to make it more adventurous.
The story teaches about Friendship, love, trust, Honesty, and many more. This story has something magical in it which leads you through the end of the book in just one sit. I really enjoy reading this type of fiction. It seems like I’m watching a movie about a Butterfly Bee Lady in Disney channel or any kids channel.
I would really like to recommend this book to Kids as well as for parents and adults to read it and to understand the meanings of this book.

This book is a short read of a few hours. It is a children's book and the author had set up the plot of a beautiful garden in the countryside.
The story is about the beautiful butterfly, the Bee Lady who met a bee, Bramley. The bee was shouldered with the responsibility of protecting her 91 children from her twin sister, Sindeena.
Sindeena and Belliza were the daughters of the Queen of the dragonflies. They went in an argument because of the discovery of golden pollens and since then parted their ways.
What happens next? Will Sindeena find her sister's babies? For more, you have to read the book.
The book is written in a simple language which can be easily understood by the children. The story has a magical fictional touch to it. There are cute little pictures included in between the story. To make the story more interesting, the author has added 'Z' at the end of every word to make it sound like the language of bees. The imagery created here is so beautiful. The character development is done well.

I always love reading children books and this book can be finished in few hours.
For me the book has been interesting because it's described with full of imagination to attack children with lots of beautiful illustrations. The amount of thought, care and guidelines that author puts in her book is largely appreciable. It brings encouragement and positivity into the plot. It also gives us a refreshing perspective of the story to grab the attention of the reader’s theme, is pretty engaging and entertaining.
Overall, the book has much more to offer rather than what its blurbs says! Do give it a try.

Won this through Good Reads Giveaway. I think this is a great story for younger kids, but also can be read by adults too because of the way it is written. It is a beautiful story about love and family and making sacrifices to protect your children. Bramley's character is very strong and the perfect father who wants to keep his children safe. Overall, it was a good read. The illustrations were also wonderful, and I could actually imagine this being an animation film.

Children's books have that power to teaches us some moral values and this book teaches us value of relationships and friendship. Book is setup in a magical world where Butterfly Beelady met with Bramley and they both enjoying each other’s company but one day Beelady has to go and left their 90 eggs with him to take care of them. So, there is a lot to discover where she gone and why? It's a short and sweet story, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

The Butterfly Bee Lady and the Bee is a beautiful adventure story of a beautiful young girl, daughter of Butterfly Bee Lady who was once a queen of dragonflyers. The story is mainly about family love and sacrifices made to save the children.
The whole setting is magical and whoever picks up this book will really love the imagery and its engaging storyline. This fairy tale keeps the readers hooked until the end with curiosity growing more. I loved Bramley character. The book has many beautiful illustrations that keeps the plot still more interesting. Also, the book unfolds discussions of life cycle of insects, planets and much more.
The cover is vibrant and attractive, and the title is apt. The language is simple and story is well narrated. Characters are well developed and can feel them around us. Overall, it’s a colourful tale filled with magic and adventure.
The story is well crafted and serves as the best read for kids and teens. The story turns more interesting if read with children. Do give a read and feel the bee adventure.

The Butterfly Bee Lady and The Bee by first time author, Ig Oliver, is a lovely story about family, friends, love and making sacrifices to protect others. It is a gripping tale of fantasy, magic, adventure with mild peril which keeps all engaged from start to finish. Very cleverly containing a fun message which will help children understand our planets ecosystem and the creatures within it, covering where some animals live and life cycles.
I read this book with my 6-year-old daughter. We both loved it from start to finish, my daughter was so engrossed that she found it a little emotional in places. It encouraged lots of discussion about life cycles of insects as well as having a growth mind-set and being a good person.
My only complaint with this book is I found the text a little small, especially considering the large size of the book, which my daughter struggled to hold comfortably.
I loved the beautiful, detailed, bright illustrations, which really guided you through the story, making the main characters and their surroundings come to life.
I loved Bramley, he is such a strong determined character, with the courage to do what is right to help friends, and never giving up even when it seems impossible. He becomes who he needs to be to protect others and takes on the role of father with no hesitation.
My daughter love the character Bee, as she was kind, caring, strong and a good sibling who stayed calm.
This is a great book from both a story and educational perspective and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. (less)
